Weingarten Rights - take the Quiz
If you are called into a meeting with a management representative and you have reason to believe that disciplinary action against you may result, you have the right to have a steward present during this meeting. Read the statement below to the management representative, and contact your steward immediately.

READ THIS STATEMENT TO MANAGEMENT:

“If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or terminated, or affect my personal working conditions, I request that my union representative, officer, or steward be present at the meeting. Without representation, I choose not to answer any question.

“This is my right under a U.S. Supreme Court decision called Weingarten.”

WORKERS COMPENSATION
You have the right to see your own doctor

If your employer contracts with a Network that provides services for treatment of work-related injuries, you will not have the opportunity to select the physician of your choice. All workers should fill out a physician "pre-designation" form with the name of their preferred treating physician. This is the only way that employees can retain the option of seeing their own doctor in the event of a job-related injury. Once you're injured, it's too late!

Please click the link below and download the Pre-Designation Form. Fill it out and return it your employer's Human Resources department. If they refuse to accept the form, call your Business Agent immediately.
